Projects

1. Institutional Development

As per the direction of Government GUDA has identified potential area of 300 Ha. At Raisan in order to promote world class educational, research and other institutions such as Gujarat Law University, Seismological Institute, Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute, Convention Centers, Gujarat State Disaster Management Institute etc. with best infrastructure facilities so as to meet the challenges of 21st century. This institutional zone will be called as “Knowledge Corridor”.

2. Development of Adalaj “Step Well”

“Step Well” situated at Adalaj is declared as archaeological monument with historical importance and it is a gateway to North Gujarat. As part of tourism promotion year 2006 Government has decided for integrated development by considering the theme of “Step Well”.

GUDA has prepared special town planning scheme and GOG has approved the Town Planning scheme for area surrounding Adalaj.

3. Beautification of Gandhinagar Town (G.N.A.)

GUDA has installed High Masts at 10 places to enhance the beauty and elegance of the town.
Each High Mast has 20m height and 6400 watt capacity consisting of eight metal halide lamps.
Power saving equipment reduces energy consumption up to 30%.
At entry point of GUDA area on Koba Circle one High Mast is installed with participation of Bank of Baroda.

4. Gantry Sign Board at the Entrance of Capital

Along National Highway four gantries with sign boards welcoming visitors into the capital city are installed at an estimated cost of Rs. 28 lakhs.
Road maps, guide maps, signage boards installed as per Indian Road Congress guidelines.

5. Modern Fire Service as Component of Disaster Management

To mitigate fire disasters in high-rise buildings of Gandhinagar, Sachivalaya Complex, GUDA area and adjoining AUDA area including Ahmedabad Mega City, a state-of-the-art Fire Fighting and Rescue Platform capable of working up to 42 meters height has been procured at approx. cost of Rs. 4.50 Crores.

GOG allotted Rs. 2.5 Crores and AUDA contributed Rs. 1.0 Crores.

6. Strategic Road Network – Current & Future Development

Road Development through Implementation of T.P. Scheme

GUDA constructed 24m wide and 3.5 km road in T.P.S No. 1 (Koba), 2 (Koba-Kudasan), 19 (Raisan-Randesan-Koba) providing direct approach to major institutions.
Service road parallel to Koba-Ahmedabad highway developed with mutual consent of land owners — milestone in GUDA history.
24m & 18m roads executed under T.P.S No. 11 (Adalaj-Part-A) to provide approach to Adalaj Stepwell tourism project.
